Diversity Online is a multimedia online learning environment
dealing with issues of cultural diversity in Northern Ireland.
A series of interconnected modules on community relations and
cultural diversity are designed to introduce users to some of
the key areas of social and cultural life in contemporary Northern
Ireland. The modules enable the user to explore the importance
of the different facets of identity here and to engage with
the variety of viewpoints and opinions that co-exist in Northern
Ireland today.
The website will offer a wide range of modules of study, with
accreditation under development at OCN Level's 2 & 3. Accreditation
through the site will be optional for users and non-accredited
contact with the resource materials will also be encouraged.
Initial modules for study focus on Peacebuilding, Hate Crime,
Murals and Parades. Additional modules looking at Community
Leadership, Orange & Green Identity, Commemoration Culture,
Sport, Ethnicity & Politics will be added in coming months.
